The Registry is seeking to appoint an Assistant Registrar (Academic Standards). The post‑holder will be part of the Registry’s Quality Assurance Team which is responsible for ensuring the academic quality and standards of the College’s educational provision in order to maintain the College's reputation of a strong academic standing.

The Assistant Registrar will contribute to the development and implementation of the College’s academic regulations, which are currently under review, and procedures relating to student complaints, academic appeals and misconduct. The post holder will also maintain oversight of the appointment of the College’s External Examiners and consideration of their annual reports. The post holder will keep abreast of changes to educational policy both within and outside the College and be able to advise colleagues with routine and complex enquiries.

The post holder will line manage an Administrator, and will work closely with Registry colleagues, academic departments and other areas of the Central Services.

Candidates will have experience of working in a UK Higher Education Institution and an understanding of quality assurance and enhancement policy, processes and procedures. Effective management/supervisory skills and excellent written and oral communication skills, are essential. Candidates should be experienced in committee servicing and be able to successfully manage and lead projects to meet deadlines and targets. Previous administrative experience working in a complex organisation at a similar level is also essential.

The College cannot normally apply for a Certificate of Sponsorship for this post under Tier 2 of the UKVI’s Points Based System. Any candidate, who is considering applying for this position and requires sponsorship, must ensure that they are able to obtain permission to work in the UK through an appropriate immigration route.
