A post is available for a Research Unit Administrator with strong skills in managing and coordinating international, multi-country collaborative research programmes to work in the NIHR Global Health Research Unit on Mucosal Pathogens in the Division of Infection and Immunity. The NIHR Global Health Research Unit on Mucosal Pathogens is an exciting new translational programme within UCL's Global Health Grand Challenges, addressing limitations in the long-term effectiveness of existing vaccines through new approaches to interrupting pathogen carriage/transmission in lower and middle income countries LMICs . Directed by Professor Robert Heyderman and co-directed by Professor David Goldblatt, the Mucosal Pathogens Research Unit MPRU will focus on mucosal pathogens causing pneumonia, meningitis and neonatal sepsis which account for >2 million deaths each year globally and are associated with substantial disability.

The post is funded for 3 years in the first instance.

The ideal candidate will have a Masters degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field. Experience in managing international, multi-country collaborative projects is essential as well as experience in producing professional reports. Administrative experience in a university or medical environment and working abroad in a relevant position are desirable requirements.
