£28,452 to £32,004 per annum pro-rata if part time together with USS pension benefits.

The normal expectation is that the successful applicant will be appointed to the minimum of the scale with annual increments on 1 October each year subject to completing six months service .

APM Grade 7.

This is a fixed position until 30th June 2020. 

The post is offered on a three-year contract basis.  The BUCANIER operation is part-financed by the European Regional Fund through the Ireland Wales Programme.

Main Purpose of the Post

The purpose of this post is to provide coordination & administrative assistance for the delivery of the BUCANIER Building Clusters and Networks in Innovation Enterprise and Research Operation. To work with the Ireland and Wales based operation teams to ensure the effective delivery of the overall BUCANIER operation. This operation has been developed in partnership with, Carmarthenshire County Council CCC , Swansea University Institute of Life Sciences SU ILS , the Institute of Technology Carlow IT Carlow , Wexford County Council WCC and Bord Iascaigh Mhara BIM Irish Sea Fisheries Board and aims to create an environment to nurture and develop business idea generation, the design development and testing of products and services and commercialisation of products and services among Innovators, Researchers and Entrepreneurs to establish viable and sustainable enterprises in the knowledge based economy. BUCANIER also aims to develop cross-border networks and clusters. Pembrokeshire County Council is the lead partner for the operation and the post holder will be line managed by the BUCANIER Project Manager in Pembrokeshire. The Project Officer will contribute to the administration / effective management of the operation and will administer all related aspects of the budget spend and the operation plan. He/she will also help maintain the Bridge Innovation Centre at the forefront of innovation and development within the context of the operation.
