The Engineering Psychology group at WMG is seeking to hire a Research Fellow to work on projects focusing on health and wellbeing in the organizational setting. Responsibilities will involve a close collaboration with the research team and our industry partners. Researchers interested in topics related to wellbeing, organisational psychology, judgment and decision making, ergonomics/human factors, and health psychology would be particularly well suited for this post. Responsibilities of this post will also include setting up and running experiments, data acquisition and analysis, conducting literature reviews, assisting in writing manuscripts and reports, coordinating and overseeing multiple projects.

You should be qualified to PhD level in psychology (or relevant discipline), with a particular interest in applying insights from behavioural sciences to improve innovation, wellbeing and productivity in workforces. You will have proven research experience and well developed communication and collaboration skills to provide the interface between industry, academic partners and the project management team. Programming skills are beneficial but not essential.

If you have not yet been awarded your PhD but are near submission or have recently submitted your PhD, any offers of employment will be made as Research Assistant on level 5 of the University grade structure (£28,453). Upon successful award of your PhD and evidence of this fact, you will be promoted to Research Fellow on the first point of the level 6 of the University grade structure (£29,301).
