Applications are invited for the post of Lecturer in Physiology (with an interest in practical teaching).

It is expected that the successful candidate will possess a PhD or equivalent, with relevant teaching experience. They will be expected to lead, develop and deliver high quality teaching, learning and assessment in the clinically relevant basic sciences, with an emphasis on human physiology, for all programmes delivered from within the IHSE, including MBBS students. This post is a curriculum development role and the post-holder will be expected in due course to assume responsibility for leading one or more modules of the UG medical curriculum or from an alternative programme under direction of the Head of Phase One. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to develop their career and develop both leadership and teaching skills.

This is a permanent full-time post. Starting salary will be in the range of £44,815 - £50,030 per annum inclusive of London Allowance. Benefits include 30 days’ annual leave, defined benefit pension scheme and interest-free season ticket loan.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme.
