GTA Scholars Scheme Co-ordinator

University of Bristol - Bristol Doctoral College

This is an exciting opportunity in a dynamic and growing team of the University of Bristol. The Bristol Doctoral College (BDC) (http://www.bris.ac.uk/doctoral-college/) is recruiting a GTA Scholars Scheme Co-ordinator to develop our focus on growing and supporting the Postgraduate Research (PGR) community in Bristol. A key element of this is to develop an attractive and effective package of support for prospective and current Graduate Teaching Assistants across the University.

You are a dedicated Higher Education support professional, with the ambition to be instrumental in designing and implementing a GTA Scholars Scheme, working with a wide range of colleagues across the university.

The successful candidate will be an experienced and effective academic or researcher developer. Excellent writing, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and time management skills are essential. Your understanding of the needs of PGRs who teach in a contemporary academic environment will be well developed; and you will be proactive when exploring new funding opportunities to support these activities. Some experience of learning and teaching accreditation frameworks and the PGR employability agenda is highly desirable.

If you feel that your background and ambition match ours, we would be delighted to hear from you.

For more information please contact Dr Paul Spencer, PGR Environment Development Manager, paul.spencer@bristol.ac.uk, 0117 3317733.

The University is committed to creating and sustaining a fully inclusive culture. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and communities.
