Degree Apprenticeships provide an exciting development in vocational higher education and a new opportunity for universities, combining university study and workplace learning to enable apprentices to gain a full bachelor’s or master’s degree.

Higher and Degree Apprenticeships provide a vital new income stream for Bucks and in recognition of this a new Apprenticeships Hub has been established which will be located at UCAV, Aylesbury, working with Aylesbury College through the BEST partnership to provide a seamless apprenticeships offering from level 2 through to 7 across the wider Buckinghamshire region.

As part of this new Hub there is a requirement for a Business Development Manager. The main purpose of the role is to focus on selling degree and degree/higher apprenticeship programmes and relevant professional courses into companies directly and through partners, developing a joint approach with Aylesbury College and the LEP Skills Board to raise awareness and drive sales into our respective organisations.

The applicant will need to be educated to degree level or equivalent, and also have proven sales and business development experience. You will also need proven success at engaging a wide range of stakeholders.

Excellent IT skills and familiarity with CRM/Database is essential. The successful candidate will also have excellent written and oral communication skills and should be proactive in their approach to work.
