Part-Time Assistant Study Co-ordinator (80% of full-time)

The Epidemiology Group, Institute of Applied Health Sciences would like to appoint a Part-time Assistant Study Co-ordinator to oversee the conduct of the “British Society for Rheumatology Biologics Register in Ankylosing Spondylitis (BSRBR-AS)”.

The successful applicant will be highly motivated with some experience in running multi-centre epidemiological surveys and/or randomised controlled trials. In addition, candidates should have the ability to work both as part of a team, and independently. Experience of research governance procedures around such studies is expected. Under the direction of the principal investigator, the post-holder will be responsible for preparing regulatory documents, preparing and seeking approvals for amendments to the study protocol, training recruitment centres, providing regulatory reports and assisting with quality assurance procedures. Time management, attention to detail and excellent communication skills are essential.

Salary will be at the appropriate point on the Grade 5 (80% of £26,829 to £30,175 per annum) salary scale and negotiable with placement according to qualifications and experience.

As this post is funded by the British Society of Rheumatology it will be available from 1 August 2017 until 31 December 2018. This appointment will be made subject to the usual terms and conditions of employment of the University.
