PTHP Lecturer/Senior Lecturer: Theology/Religious Studies (Christianity)

University of Gloucestershire

Location: OXSTALLS CAMPUS

Part time hourly paid lecturer in Religious Studies/Theology in the School of Liberal and Performing Arts at the Francis Close Hall Campus, Cheltenham.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and highly skilled academic practitioner who can contribute to the teaching and learning of the BA Religion, Philosophy and Ethics (RPE). This opportunity has arisen due to a full-time member of the teaching team being awarded a research sabbatical within the subject area. RPE is an area of growth within the School and we are seeking an inspiring and engaging lecturer to deliver the Level 6 module, HM6505 Christianity.

Duties would include all aspects of delivery and assessment for the module, tutorial support for students, and possible attendance at course meetings.

Applications are invited from individuals who have a PhD in a relevant field and with experience of undergraduate teaching in Theology and/or Religious Studies. Early career researchers in those academic disciplines are also invited to apply.

Closing date 29th August 2017

Applications should be able to attend an interview on 8th September and be available to teach in semester 1, 2017/18 (25/9/17 - 15/12/17). Assessment of student work may extend beyond that period.

For more information please contact the Academic Course Leader for RPE, Dr William Large (wlarge@glos.ac.uk) or the Academic Subject Leader Dr Adrian Long (along@glos.ac.uk).
