Design and Development Engineer

You will be a member of the INSIGHT team, an innovate UK funded project to develop an autonomous pod for local passenger transport.  The project is concerned with ensuring autonomous transport is inclusive and has a special interest with meeting the needs of the visually impaired.  Within this complex multidisciplinary project you will be responsible for defining the pod trials and the associated safety case.  You will also be responsible for ensuring that the trials are inclusive and for gathering user data from a wide range of passengers.  This will require you to have good interpersonal skills and an ability to design suitable questionnaires and analyse data.

Ideally we are looking for an automotive engineer with a postgraduate degree in engineering, a keen interest in autonomous vehicles and ideally some experience in the automotive industry.  This is a unique opportunity to work in a multidisciplinary team in the exciting and transformative field or autonomous vehicles.  Given the multidisciplinary nature of the work we are keen to hear from enthusiastic applicants from a wide range of backgrounds which includes, but not exclusive to engineering.  As part of your application, please ensure you upload a CV.
