Regional Head of Student Experience

University Partnerships Programme

UPP are now recruiting for a creative and innovative Regional Head of Student Experience. This is an exciting and challenging role, with the main purpose of implementing an excellent student experience across the UPP portfolio.

Reporting to the Partnership Director and working with our University Partners, student unions and internal stakeholders of UPP, you will enjoy building positive, professional relationships on a variety of levels i.e. students to managers.

The role will be based in Nottingham UPP’s central region; however, you will support and guide our partnerships across the central and northern regions, which will require flexibility to travel as appropriate.

As a Regional Head of Student Experience, you will be responsible for an annual budget that will provide resident students with events and activities to enhance their UPP experience. This will be managed and reviewed to ensure effective use.

The successful candidate will be passionate in creating and developing exciting and memorable student experiences, with a hands-on approach. Experience of effective communication with students via social media and have worked alongside university and student union staff in the past.

Duties include:

Relationship Management

  • Always promoting the values and vision of UPP to our university partners and student bodies
  • Effective teamwork and leadership within UPP - supporting Student Experience Champions and Co-ordinators, communicating with Partnerships Director on any issues for concern along with possible resolutions, working alongside UPP departments to promote the Student Experience Strategy e.g. Project Development, Head of Marketing and General Managers

Strategy Development

  • Listen to student feedback and react appropriately to improve the student experience
  • Planning and effective use of the annual budget
  • Facilitate meetings to ensure all staff are knowledgeable of the strategy, and to support them with their duties relating to the strategy - taking feedback and ideas on board

People Management

  • Recruiting, training and reviewing staff performance as necessary
  • Guide and support Student Development Coordinators and Champions, whilst challenging them to develop professionally.

A logical, analytical thinker, who is computer literate (excellent use of MS Word and Excel) and able to successfully create and implement strategies.

Normal hours of work for this role are 9am-5:30pm Mondays-Fridays, however due to the nature of the role flexibility will be required.
