Assistant Professor in International Political Economy

Salary is competitive with Departments at our peer institutions worldwide and not less than £53,004 pa inclusive

We are looking to recruit an Assistant Professor in International Political Economy.

All candidates must have a research interest in International Political Economy and must also show a clear and visible strategy for future top quality research. We are open with respect to methodological and theoretical approaches.

Candidates will need a completed PhD, or be close to obtaining one, in International Relations or a related field by 1 September 2018.  Candidates should also have a track record or trajectory of internationally excellent publications.  They should also have a proven ability, as evidenced by existing publications, or potential to publish in top journals and with leading book publishers in international political economy.

Candidates should also have a proven or developing record of publications in refereed international journals or with highly-respected book publishers based on research that is, or has the potential to be, internationally excellent and, ideally, world-leading in terms of originality, significance and rigour.

Some experience of teaching International Political Economy at undergraduate or postgraduate level is desirable.

Successful candidates should have excellent communication and leadership skills and an ability to work as part of a team with colleagues across the School.

The post will start on 1 September 2018.
