Research Fellow in Social Science

The salary will be paid at Grade 7, £40,523 to £48,327 per annum, plus £2,623 per annum London Allowance.

This post will be fixed term until 31/3/19.

The School of Population Sciences and Health Services Research is seeking to appoint an experienced researcher who will bring a lively sociological imagination to complex applied research that aims to improve health care and health research practices. The post holder will work on two established programmes within the School: (1) the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Collaboration for Leadership in Applied Health Research and Care (CLAHRC) South London; and (2) the Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust NIHR Biomedical Research Centre (BRC).

The post holder will have: a PhD in a relevant social science discipline; expertise in research (evidenced by publications and/ reports); expertise in conducting social science research using a range of methods; social science of health, science and technology, knowledge production; and knowledge of qualitative research methods.

The selection process will include a presentation and panel interview.
