PA to Director & Deputy Director of Estates

The Estates department is in the process of developing the College’s historic landscape in order to provide a 21st century campus that meets the needs of the people studying and working here. This has led to the department working at a scale and pace that is has never experienced before and the administrative function of the department is critical to its success. Applications are invited for the post of PA to the Director & Deputy Director of Estates. This is a job share role and the successful applicant will be required to work 14 hour per week over Monday and Tuesday in order to dovetail with the existing post holder.

This post provides secretarial and administrative support to the Director and Deputy Director of Estates as well as managing the Departmental Administrator. Typical duties include managing diaries, servicing project boards and working groups as well as providing a triage function filtering queries and resolving issues on the Director/Deputy Director’s behalf.

The successful candidate will be proactive and enthusiastic and able to work in a pivotal role within a large and busy estates department. They must be able to demonstrate they can interact with people of all levels and be effective in building relationships both internally and externally. Strong communication skills and fluency in both written and spoken English are an essential requirement together with discretion, tact and diplomacy. Further essential skills include a highly organized approach, minute taking experience, the ability to solve problems and previous experience providing support at Board level.
