Technology Transfer Fellow in Systems Integration - Electronic Engineer

Salary: £28452 to £32004 per annum (pro rata if part time), together with USS pension benefits if required

Main Purpose of the Post
SPECIFIC is an Innovation and Knowledge Centre based within the College of Engineering. It is a collaborative project with partners from academia, industry and government working together towards a shared vision of ’buildings as power stations’: buildings that can generate, store and release their own solar energy.

SPECIFIC is looking to expand its Systems Integration team with an Electronic Engineer to develop and design small electronic devices to act as “middleware” between building technologies.

This role will be primarily focused on Electronic development and will require the post holder to produce circuit boards using CAD software suites and develop the required embedded software to achieve control of other electrical systems within building infrastructure technologies.

Applicants must have a PhD or equivalent experience in the Electronic Engineering industry, Physical Sciences or a related subject preferably with research background in building control technologies with the ability to interpret and disseminate data

This is a fixed term position for 3 years.
