The Role and Duties

As Learning and Teaching Adviser, you will be responsible to the Student Services Manager for provision of support for the delivery of the learning support function within Essex Business School. You will be expected to deliver workshops to academic staff and students and support the student engagement agenda.

Duties will include contributing to the development of data sets relevant to student profiles; contributing to the review and analysis of student interactions; identifying potential improvements to services to students; and supporting effective delivery of student communications through all available channels.

Qualifications and Skills

You will be educated to post graduate level, or equivalent, and have knowledge and understanding of relevant learning, teaching and assessment methods within a higher or further education setting, together with learning, teaching and assessment experience in a relevant subject area. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to establish good working relationships with all stakeholders, and the ability to work with a range of undergraduate and postgraduate students are also essential.

This post is full-time and permanent, based at our Colchester Campus, but with one or two days per week timetabled at Southend Campus.
