Incubation Manager (Bristol Robotics Laboratory's Technology Incubator and UWE Bristol's Launch Space)

You will be responsible for managing Bristol Robotics Laboratory's (BRL) Technology Incubator for high-growth, start-up enterprises exploiting robotics hardware and software technologies; and project managing UWE Bristol's Centre for Graduate Entrepreneurship - 'Launch Space' (LS) - the University's new European Regional Development Funded (ERDF) support programme for graduate start-up enterprises. 

Based in dedicated space within the new University Enterprise Zone, you will be tasked with developing the BRL Incubator and LS pipelines; mentoring and managing BRL incubator companies and LS graduate residents and their relationships with BRL, the wider university and external stakeholders; and facilitating successful transition to alumni for these companies, on completion of their incubation/residence. In addition you will be responsible for the recording, monitoring and reporting of project targets and outputs; and ensuring compliance with the funders' rules and regulations. 

You will work closely with colleagues in BRL and UWE Bristol's University Enterprise Zone community - including UWE Bristol's Future Space Innovation Centre - to facilitate incubation service delivery in support of UWE Bristol's Enterprise 2020 and BRL Strategies. You will also work closely with the BRL Business Manager and RBI's Assistant Head Business Enterprise Services to leverage UWE Bristol resources and reputation to secure funding and build recognition within UK and European Robotics, incubation and enterprise communities. 

You will have:- 



  1. Technology/enterprise based first level degree (or can demonstrate equivalent experience in a technology/enterprise-related area). 
  2. 2. Experience in more than one IP based, high-growth hardware technology business and/or start-up incubator.
