Learning Technologist

Royal Agricultural University

Devise and develop pioneering new digital learning experiences

This is a unique opportunity to lead a step-change in teaching and learning here at the Royal Agricultural University. A chance to devise, design and develop innovative digital resources that transform learning for our students and staff.

So we’ll certainly be looking for a creative and imaginative approach, not to mention the ambition to be part of a university that’s at the forefront of worldwide agricultural education. Now we want to be at the forefront of digital learning too – which is where you come in.

Leading on the development of the digital environment for our on-campus, distance and blended learning students, you’ll define, scope and deliver interactive digital assets that complement our wide range of courses. As well as that, we need you to create engaging training and development programmes for staff across the college, using our Virtual Learning Environment and other systems.

You’ll be our technical expert – the person we go to for specialist advice and guidance to help us make the most of our technologies. You’ll also deliver training activities (both in person and online) to ensure that everyone here gets the best from their digital resources.

First-rate communication, organisational and technical skills are a must, along with sound experience of leading teams and technology-driven projects. A proven track record of developing cutting-edge digital learning materials is important too. Last but definitely not least, you’ll bring a real understanding of how technology can be used to enhance the quality of teaching and provide positive student outcomes for a diverse community of learners.
