Applications are invited for a Clinical Trials Administrator to join the Imperial Clinical Trials Unit (ICTU) at Imperial College London. ICTU is a UKCRC fully registered clinical trials unit working across Imperial College London, Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, the Royal Brompton and Harefield NHS Foundation Trust and affiliated NHS Trusts to deliver world class clinical trials of all phases. The Unit has a study portfolio across therapeutic areas including cardiovascular and metabolic disease, respiratory, HIV/infectious diseases and emergency and critical care.

ICTU is set up to be able to advise upon, manage, co-ordinate and run trials to the highest quality and scientific standard. It has a highly trained Operations team with over 10 years’ experience in conducting clinical trials to GCP standards. It is supported by Quality Assurance, experienced trial statisticians, and an experienced IT team who deliver a fully validated electronic data capture system for the trial.

This post represents an ideal opportunity for a self-motivated individual with prior experience in research / general administration, preferably within the NHS or an academic institution, to develop their skills and knowledge further in the area of clinical trials. This is a key role within the trial team, and the post holder will provide essential day-to-day trial administration for a range of studies on the ICTU portfolio to help ensure that the studies are conducted to the highest scientific, ethical and regulatory standards. He/she will also undertake some general administrative duties for the Operations Managers as well as support trial data management as required.

Applicants must have proven administrative and secretarial experience, preferably in an NHS / academic environment. A degree or equivalent in a biomedical/scientific/statistical or allied field is essential for career development in clinical trials. Applicants should be motivated, well organised and able to work effectively as part of a team.

This post is available full time and fixed term until 31 July 2018 in the first instance, and is based on the White City campus at Stadium House, Wood Lane, close to Wood Lane and White City tube stations.
