The UCD School of Biomolecular and Biomedical Science is offering a full-time 5-year Lectureship/Assistant Professorship to contribute to our Undergraduate (BSc) and Postgraduate (MSc) programmes, in particular in the areas of Biochemistry (BSc), Microbiology (BSc), Biotechnology (MSc) and Biotherapeutics (MSc). The BSc and MSc programmes delivered by the School are amongst the most popular in UCD Science. The successful candidate will join a vibrant teaching- and research-intensive School and deliver lectures and practical courses at fundamental and advanced levels of the undergraduate and postgraduate curriculum.  It is expected that the successful candidate will establish a productive research programme, supervise postgraduate research students and initiate collaborations with colleagues in the School and beyond.  We are looking to recruit an individual with a proven track record of research in the areas of Biochemistry and/or Microbiology, who will establish a vibrant and interdisciplinary research programme that complements current research expertise in the School and who will actively contribute to under and postgraduate degree courses.

95 Lecturer/Assistant Professor Above the Bar Salary Scale: €51,807 - €79,194 per annum

Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines
