Assistant Head – International Partnerships (Business Partner)

This part-time post (0.8 FTE) is available for nine months, late November through August 2018. 

An exciting opportunity has opened up within the University’s International Partnerships team. We are seeking maternity cover for an Assistant Head to work with the College of Engineering, Mathematics and Physical Sciences, and the College of Life and Environmental Sciences, to develop and deliver on the international strategies and institutional relationships of the two colleges, in conjunction with the University’s overarching International Strategy. 

The successful applicant will have experience in partnership or relationship development, preferably in a higher education context. You will have highly effective and accurate communication skills, including liaising with high level staff from other institutions, and the ability to lead discussions, negotiate, and to write clear and detailed reports and recommendations. You will also have skills and experience in project planning and management, and be adept at using Microsoft Office, including spreadsheet analysis. Qualities such as a strong customer-focussed attitude, commitment to excellence, diplomacy and sensitivity, and a pro-active and enthusiastic approach are fundamental to the role.
