GBP 4047 Project and Administrative Assistant – Clinical Education Development and Research (CEDAR)

A Project and Administrative Assistant is required at the University of Exeter, based on the Streatham Campus in Exeter. The role is to support the work of the Clinical Education and Development and Research (CEDAR). This internship is for 22 months and part of the Graduate Business Partnership scheme. The role presents an excellent opportunity for the successful candidate to gain a thorough insight to CEDAR’s programmes.

Working in partnership with the NHS and Health Education South West, and underpinned by evidence-based research, CEDAR trains tomorrow's healthcare leaders through a suite of training and education options from undergraduate through to doctorate level programmes.

The post will support the PGT & PGR programmes and will support the enhancement of the student experience across the College. In particular duties will include registration of students, data entry of module enrolment, monitoring of status of student registration, provision of basic reports, and assisting with all necessary functions relating to student enrolment. It will also include preparation of materials relating to commencement of the academic year, quality assurance, annual programme monitoring and review, programme and module audit, and student feedback. In addition to this the post-holder will undertake maintenance of SITS data relating to student programmes, module availability & assessment records, data entry of marks, progress and award decisions, receipting of coursework, and monitoring/reporting of absences. Duties will also include support to the Doctorate PGR programmes including close liaison with the Human Resources department at Taunton and Somerset NHS Partnership Trust.

Applicants will be professional and flexible graduates who have excellent communication skills, the ability to deal with staff at all levels, and be able to deal with a variety of personal and academic circumstances, some of which may be highly confidential. Applicants will also have excellent organisational skills, and be able to work independently and as part of a team. In addition to this, applicants should be experienced users of Microsoft software packages, such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with excellent word processing skills, together with having prior experience of working in an office as part of an administrative team, and working in a customer service environment.
