The Employer Engagement & Events team, part of UCL Careers, liaises with employers to promote the benefits of recruiting from UCL, and develops and administrates events and services for students and graduates to meet with potential employers and professional organisations.

The Employer Engagement & Events Officer (Researchers) will arrange and facilitate employer events, including skills workshops and employer forums, to support the employability of researchers at UCL. The post holder will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with employers who recruit researchers, carrying out research among researchers, employers, and other stakeholders to ensure our events remain relevant and up-to-date, and publicising this events programme and other news items relevant to researcher employability across the UCL community.

The role holder will be expected to work at some evening events. This will involve approximately two evening per week in the autumn and spring terms and one or two total in the summer term.

Educated to degree level or equivalent, the successful candidate will have experience building and maintaining excellent customer relationships, and organising a programme of events. They will have excellent verbal and written communication and organisational skills. They will be proficient in using Microsoft Office and databases to manage contacts and events.

Familiarity with the Higher Education environment and the needs of researchers would be an advantage, as would experience of using social media and social networking tools, and carrying out basic research.
