Trial Assistant - Mindfulness in Schools

Grade 4: £21,220 - £24,565 with a discretionary range to £26,829 p.a.

Following a recent successful recruitment we are now looking for an additional Trial Assistant to work within the Department of Psychiatry providing support to a research team running a large clinical trial of mindfulness in schools The post is based at the Warneford Hospital

This post is funded for a fixed term of 18 months.

This is a key role in supporting the work of the MYRIAD project, particularly in relation to the day-to-day running of the trial which is being run in schools all over the UK. You will provide administrative support to the Trial Manager and other members of the trial research team, including developing and maintaining research filing systems and databases for recruitment, as well as updating the website and other relevant social media.

With a good general education, (A level or equivalent) you will have excellent IT skills (Microsoft office packages), and experience of or willingness to learn about IT systems specific to the University.   You should have experience of working within a research team and of working with confidential information. An awareness of Data Protection, Research and Clinical Governance Guidelines and ethical requirements would be an advantage as would an administrative or business qualification.
