Partnerships and Fellowships Officer

University of Oxford - Blavatnik School of Government

Are you an effective communicator with a flair for organisation? Would you like to play your part in improving government around the world?

We are looking for a personable and pro-active individual to play a crucial role in the School’s Executive Office. You will be responsible for coordinating both the major partnership programmes at the Blavatnik School and the invitation and integration of senior academic and practitioner visitors into the School community. You will undertake advance planning for each academic year to put in place an operational plan, agreed with the external funder, for the partnership activities in that year and act as a point of contact for scholars and fellows throughout the year. You will also provide curation and support to senior visitorships, suggesting and contributing to process improvements to ensure maximum efficiency and value from visitorships. The Partnerships and Fellowships Officer role is broad and underpins the success of key partner engagement at the Blavatnik School of Government.

You will need: excellent problem-solving stills, with evidence of thinking creatively, proactively identifying potential issues and suggesting possible solutions; demonstrable strong strategic planning and project management skills; experience of working in a fast-paced, changeable organisation, ideally in a higher education environment; and experience of dealing effectively with a wide range of people, working as part of a team, and liaising with colleagues where work interests overlap. A good first degree from a research-intensive University is essential.

This post is fixed-term for 3 years.
