Educational Development Consultant (Humanities and Social Sciences)

The Educational Development Group leads the Oxford Learning Institute’s provision of educational development in line with agreed institutional priorities for the enhancement of teaching and learning and in partnership with colleagues in academic divisions.

The post holder will report to the Head of Educational Development and will work closely and collaboratively with colleagues at the Oxford Learning Institute, as well as with colleagues across the University (Divisional Training Officers, Education Policy Support Office, Academic IT, Disability Advisory Service etc.)

You will deliver and support educational development and enhancement for the Humanities and Social Sciences Divisions at the University of Oxford. You will work closely with the Head of Educational Development and the Educational Development Consultant (Sciences) as the senior educational developers in the group. You will use your expertise to offer research-informed advice for the formation of educational policy; to offer consultancy to support educational development in the Humanities and Social Sciences Divisions; and to lead the accredited programme in teaching and learning for experienced teachers in the humanities and social sciences. You will line manage the Educational Development Officer (Humanities and Social Sciences), ensuring the provision of high-quality development opportunities for new teachers in these divisions.
