Postdoctoral Research Associate (Qualitative Evaluation and Research)

Applications are invited for an enthusiastic, highly motivated and experienced qualitative researcher to work as a Research Associate on a qualitative service evaluation of a primary care based pilot intervention aimed at providing psychological support for patients with long-term conditions (COPD and Diabetes).

The service evaluation has been commissioned by Tower Hamlets CCG and is being led by a team of academics from the Centre for Primary Care and Public Health at QMUL. The main purpose of the job is to work with the evaluation team and Tower Hamlets CCG to develop and then deliver a rigorous and collaborative qualitative evaluation.

You will be responsible for collecting the qualitative data for the evaluation and, in collaboration with the Principle Investigator, designing and conducting the evaluation process. This will include observation of all meetings relating to the intervention and interviews with CCG and Primary Care staff and patients who have been cared for through the pilot. You will have the opportunity to contribute directly to shaping this programme of work.

The post is part time (0.3FTE) and fixed term for eighteen months starting as soon as possible. The starting salary will be £40,182 per annum pro rata inclusive of London Allowance. Benefits include 30 days annual leave, defined benefit pension scheme and interest-free season ticket loan.
