Research Associate for OPTI-PREM and SCALING

Full-time fixed term contract for 18 months

The post-holder will provide high level social science research skills to two externally funded projects “OPTI-PREM: Optimising neonatal service provision for preterm babies born between 27 and 31 weeks of gestation in England using national data, qualitative research and economic analysis” and “SCALING: How can a successful Learning-based Maternity Safety Improvement Programme be replicated and scaled?”

You will be responsible for conducting research that meets each project’s needs and expectations, and developing peer-reviewed journal articles and other outputs as appropriate. You will have experience of project management, expertise in collecting and analysing qualitative data, and the ability to write high quality reports and papers based on qualitative data. You will have responsibility for project management, will be involved in collection of ethnographic and interview data (primarily OPTI-PREM), and will lead on analysis of data and writing project reports and papers for publication in high impact journals.
