Lecturer in Law

University of Chester - Department of Law

The University is seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Law. In the main, you will assist with the delivery of undergraduate modules on Law programmes currently offered by the Law School, and to develop the teaching delivery of key areas of law and legal practice. You must have the recent experience of teaching at an HEI and/or practice any or all of the following fields; Criminal Law and Practice, or Property Law and Practice and Equity & Trusts, or European Law. You must also be a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, or show a willingness to undertake the Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education or apply to become a Fellow of the HEA.

The programmes are delivered on the main Chester campus, close to the centre of Chester.

All successful applicants must have at least a Masters qualification or a professional legal qualification and a Doctorate qualification is desirable.

A friendly, flexible attitude is essential in joining the successful, small School of Law. The Law School has obtained excellent results in the NSS in recent years. A student centred approach is essential
