Postdoctoral Research Fellow

This full time post is available from 01 October 2017 for 21 months to support the work of Dr Isaac Luxmoore.

The project will investigate the photonic integration of defect emitters in 2D materials, with the ultimate aim of realising highly efficient single photon sources operating at room temperature.

This post is funded by the EPSRC and the work will involve close collaboration with researchers at Hitachi Cambridge Laboratory and University of Twente.

The project will involve numerical simulations and experimental work, including fabrication, optical/electrical characterisation and data analysis. The successful applicant will be able to present information on research progress and results, communicate complex information, orally, in writing and electronically and prepare proposals and applications to external bodies.

Applicants will possess a relevant PhD and be able to demonstrate sufficient knowledge in the discipline and of research methods and techniques to work within established research programmes.
