Senior Manager, Planning and Accreditation

The Faculty of Business and Law is one of four faculties of the University, bringing together two Schools – The Open University Business School and The Open University Law School – and has a strong reputation as a high-quality and innovative provider of management and legal education. This role supports the Faculty in the development and delivery of the strategic priorities of the Schools, with a focus on the delivery of our external triple accreditation, which puts us in the top 1% of Business Schools worldwide. You will support the Director, Executive Dean and academic leadership team to improve our approach to strategic and financial planning, accreditation and implementation in the Faculty.

You will be capable of briefing, producing and communicating compelling evidence and information to a variety of audiences highlighting areas of concern and opportunity to help prioritise the Faculty’s activities. You will also provide solid support to the management of the Unit’s strategic projects, including deep dive reviews of areas of the Faculty’s activity, and you will oversee the management of accreditation in the Faculty, creating a stronger market position for both the Business School and the Law School.

You will need experience of working in a management and leadership role, preferably within Higher Education. You will have all of the required skills to work in a collaborative, academic environment and be able to demonstrate and meet the expectations of the person specification to be successful.
