Assistant Programme Leader, Foundation Diploma in Art & Design

Escola Britânica de Artes Criativas - São Paulo, Brazil

We seek to appoint an Assistant Programme Leader to teach and support the development of the Foundation Diploma in Art & Design programme. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced and dynamic individuals to support further development of Foundation course, within the context of a vibrant and dynamic school of creative arts in the most exciting hub for business, culture and innovation of Brazil today: São Paulo.

EBAC established its Foundation programme in 2017, following the successful model of the British Higher School of Art & Design in Moscow. The BHSAD Foundation programme was established shortly after the founding of the School in 2003 and follows a UK Level 3/4 Foundation Diploma in Art & Design programme specification.

The new cohort of the Foundation Art & Design Programme will start in February 2018. The programme will grow year on year to become one of the largest programmes at EBAC and the only one of its kind in Brazil. This second intake will be around 60-80 students and the following yearly cohorts are expected to be around 100 students studying and working in dedicated studios, printmaking, photography, and computer labs.

A team of experienced lecturers and subject specialists consisting of international and local full time and part time staff, contribute to the learning experience of students on Foundation and help to create a culturally rich and vibrant course.

Teaching & Learning is in English with the primary objective of the course to prepare students for progression onto one of our six and ambitious BA (Hons) Degree programmes validated and accredited by our partner institution the University of Hertfordshire. The BA (Hons) courses that will launch in February 2018 are: Graphic Design, Illustration, 2D Animation & Character for Digital Media, Visual Effects for Film and TV, 3D Computer Animation & Modelling and 3D Games Art & Design.
