Experimental Officer in the Clean Combustion Laboratory

The Clean Combustion Laboratory in the School of Engineering is seeking to appoint an Experimental Officer who will contribute actively to the research programme of the Laboratory, which operates as a small research facility (SRF). This will involve overseeing the operation of the Laboratory, working collaboratively with and in support of its academic and research staff and students.

The post holder will ensure that the development of the SRF supports and keeps pace with the research requirements, liaising with funders, collaborators and users, and advising and training staff and students. The successful candidate will hold a PhD in a relevant scientific or engineering field and/or significant relevant professional experience, extensive technical problem-solving skills, substantial relevant research experience and a highly developed understanding of Health & Safety and other relevant regulations and procedures.

This post is full time and open ended and is available from November 2017.
