The University of Essex runs an in-house payroll for approximately 3000 employees and is looking for two Payroll and Pensions Administrators to join the Payroll and Pension Team situated within a vibrant HR Department.

The Role and Duties

The duties of the post will include taking responsibility for a designated section of the University, ensuring that payroll preparation and input meet prescribed guidelines.

Skills and qualifications required

The successful candidate will have previous experience in working in a large volume payroll environment; possess a high level of accuracy and proven knowledge of payroll legislation. This is a unique opportunity to develop your payroll and pensions skills in broad and diverse surroundings.

A good working knowledge of Excel and Word is essential as are positive, confident communication skills with the ability to maintain confidentiality and integrity.

GCSE Maths and English Grades A –D or equivalent are essential.

The post is offered on a full-time contract based at our Colchester Campus.
