The School of Dentistry invites applications for the post on a 0.5 FTE basis with a further 0.5 FTE provided as a funded PhD studentship at current rates. You will join the current Honorary Consultants in Dental Public Health to provide academic support to Public Health England and build capacity within the Health Services Research Group. The post is especially suited to those who have just, or are within 3 months, of completing their CCST and who are interested in an academic career. The post is for three years in the first instance and will enable the completion of a PhD with the aim of applying for an NIHR Clinician Scientist Award at the completion of study.

The focus of this post is to make a significant contribution to our research programmes and PHE support and to support the career progression of a high quality junior researcher via an application for a NIHR Clinician Scientist Award. Applications are therefore invited from outstanding and ambitious dental researchers. You will be expected to: have completed (or be near to completion) your CCST in Dental Public Health and; to be able to demonstrate evidence of leadership and research potential.
