Our degree programmes are designed to meet the needs of industry and develop students’ capacity to learn independently and apply critical thinking to live, real-world issues. Our engineering facilities are excellent, with a new £4m heavy engineering workshop for research and teaching in surface engineering, materials and dynamics, and state-of-the-art equipment including rapid prototyping machines and water jet cutters.

Role

We are looking for candidates who can support the work of the School by helping students on a one-to-one basis and in small groups, contributing to the development of resources and activities for students, and supporting research groups in their experimental work and preparing results for publication.

The role is fixed-term for 12 months.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have a postgraduate degree in Mechanical/Design/Electrical and Electronic/Computer Systems Engineering and be interested in developing an academic career in teaching and research in one or more of the areas that are currently part of the School of Engineering’s portfolio of taught programmes and research.
