Enterprise Programme Coordinator (Permanent)

The Careers & Enterprise team develops the employability of Queen Mary University of London students and graduates by helping them to find and prepare for work, or to start up their own businesses if they have an entrepreneurial idea they want to pursue.  

Queen Mary University’s Enterprise Programme sits within the Careers & Enterprise department. It supports approximately 600 students a year to develop entrepreneurial skills and to launch business ideas via networking events, training workshops, seed funding competitions and an 8 week incubator programme.

The Enterprise Programme Coordinator (Permanent) will work in conjunction with the Enterprise Programme Coordinator (Fixed Term) and the Enterprise Programme Manager to coordinate and deliver Queen Mary’s student enterprise activities, both inside and outside the curriculum. The aims of the post are to maintain the breadth and quality of the current programme while growing levels of student and stakeholder engagement.

The successful candidate will have experience of coordinating projects or programmes in or out of education, and will ideally have an understanding of the challenges of setting up a business or social enterprise gained through experience as an entrepreneur, intrapreneur or enterprise educator. The role requires strong relationship building skills, excellent organization skills and an interest in helping students to develop entrepreneurial ideas.

The role is full time at 35 hours per week and is a permanent contract. Salary will be in the range of £32,405 to £38,062 pro rata, inclusive of London Allowance. Benefits include 30 days annual leave and defined benefit pension scheme.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme.
