Research Fellow (Water Sciences)

Fixed term until 31st December 2018

Full time starting salary is normally in the range £29,301 to £38,183. With potential progression once in post to £40,523 a year.

We seek to appoint a highly motivated individual to join the internationally-leading Water Sciences research theme within the School of Geography, Earth & Environmental Sciences. This person will contribute to the creation of new knowledge by undertaking collaborative research in the field of river and stream temperature (primarily) as well as hydrologyhydroclimatology and/ or ecohydrology.

The successful candidate will have a good publication record and the technical skills to deliver innovative science by using state-of-the- art methods (e.g. numerical modelling, remote sensing, statistical tools, laboratory and / or field experimentation). The appointee will be involved in some administrative tasks to support: delivery on current research projects, research impact generation and tracking, and the preparation of new research proposals. The post holder will demonstrate strong initiative and excellent teamwork skills.
