Falmouth Exeter Plus is the service delivery partner of Falmouth University (Falmouth) and the University of Exeter (UoE). We deliver shared services and facilities for UoE and Falmouth in Cornwall, underpinned by close collaboration with FXU, the combined students' union for Falmouth and UoE, to ensure that the interests of students and staff are at the heart of everything that Falmouth Exeter Plus delivers.

This is an exciting opportunity to join Student Services as part of the Accessibility and Inclusive Learning team.

The role of Accessibility and Inclusive Learning Adviser is to provide information, advice and support to prospective and current disabled students including information on appropriate funding. The Accessibility and Inclusive Learning Adviser will assess and communicate recommendations for reasonable adjustments and contribute to the development of inclusive practices and resources. The Adviser will also provide specialist tuition to students in order to develop their study skills’ strategies and promote autonomy.

You will have a degree level education and teaching qualification (or demonstrably equivalent experience) along with membership of a relevant professional body such as PATOSS, ADSHE or the Dyslexia Guild (or be eligible to obtain this). You will need experience of advising and supporting disabled people and of inclusive education.

It is essential for this post holder to have substantial organisational and administrative experience in successfully managing a demanding caseload, with specific skills in using electronic systems to maintain case files and respond to customer enquiries.

The Accessibility and Inclusive Learning Adviser is required to work on the University of Exeter, Penryn and Falmouth University campuses and may also be asked to occasionally work at the University of Exeter Medical School in Truro.
