IT Support Officer

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced person to play an important role in maintaining and developing our IT resources and services. Reporting to the Head of IT, the IT Support Officer will support implementation of different strands of the Library’s IT strategy, taking responsibility for the delivery of specific projects and areas of work. The post holder will also provide 2nd line technical support to the IT Assistant, and support members and staff in their use of IT, developing and offering training or guidance where needed.  

The ideal candidate will be a flexible team player with excellent oral and written communication skills, a broad range of technical experience, and the ability to contribute within a small team dedicated to improving services and offering technical support. A flair for problem solving and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users are essential.
