Undergraduate Teaching and Assessment Officer

The University of Edinburgh Business School is seeking to appoint an Undergraduate Teaching and Assessment Officer who will have significant administrative responsibilities associated with the assessment and examinations processes, playing a key role within the student experience team and supervising staff with immediate student support responsibilities.

Our undergraduate student numbers are in excess of 1000, with 250-270 at final honours, year 4. The post-holder will have supervisory responsibilities for 10 support staff.

The post-holder will be qualified to HNC/HND or equivalent, plus typically three years’ experience in a relevant administrative capacity. As the UG Regulations Expert, you will have excellent interpersonal skills, be able to interpret complex regulations, processes and procedures, and communicate these to academics and other support staff. Attention to detail is critical when managing a high volume of student data and you will need to be a proven expert in student systems with strong analytical and problem solving skills. Well organised, able to work independently and pro-actively, you will also have some supervisory experience and the ability to implement service improvements.

This is a full-time (35 hours per week), open-ended post.

Salary: £26,829-£31,076 per annum.
