Overview Of Role

Rothamsted Research is looking to recruit a postdoctoral researcher to work as a microbial metabolic engineer in the lipid metabolism group.

The aim of the work is to develop a single-cell platform for producing high value structured lipids with applications in human nutrition.

The post-holder should have a PhD qualification in a relevant scientific discipline and expertise in microbial metabolism and metabolic engineering. They should be proficient in microbial culture and molecular biology techniques and ideally they should also have experience of analytical techniques used for lipid analysis.
The position is a full time 1 year fixed-term contract in the first instance with a starting salary of £29842 to £32315 per annum.
