Devonshire Hall provides accommodation for around 550 students, with around 250 on a catered basis. As well as providing meals for students, it also provides conference facilities for both day meetings in term-time, and residential conferences during vacation periods. We are seeking a Chef to work within a busy team responsible for the effective and efficient provision of meals and food service. You will be expected to carry out a variety of duties including food service, cleaning duties, and monitoring stock and deliveries.

As Chef you will assist the Head Chef on a day to day basis and work with a team of Assistant Cooks, Domestic Assistants and Kitchen porters.

You will have experience of working in a catering environment and will be able to provide excellent customer service and care. 

Residential Services staff are required to provide a flexible service, working as necessary to meet the needs of the business. In this role, this would normally equate to a 35 hour working week, worked 5 days over 7. You may need to work an alternative shift pattern as and when required. Weekend and evening work is also expected when appropriate.
