An exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint a Head of Payroll and Pensions in the Finance and Management Information Department. If you are looking for an opportunity to excel and work in a dynamic environment then we really want to hear from you.

As a member of the Financial Control team, reporting to the Financial Controller with dotted line to the Deputy Director of HR Business Services, the Head of Payroll and Pensions will lead and manage the Payroll Team, ensuring accurate and timely payment to employees and third parties, ensuring compliance to statutory and legislative requirements and requirements of pension providers.

The post holder will also provide advice to the University on payroll and pension matters and be responsible for the research, development and maintenance of processes, procedures, controls and systems, lead the development and enhancement of the iTrent Payroll system and be responsible for iTrent System Management and Administration in relation to payroll processes order to meet the changing needs of the University.

The post holder will also ensure that LSBU meets its statutory contractual employment responsibilities and is fit for purpose and will work with the Finance and People and Organisation teams in partnership in order to provide an efficient and effective service to employees and managers throughout the university.
