Make a difference, every day, to the lives of our students.

About You

We are looking for an enthusiastic and innovative individual to fulfil a new role within the Careers Centre team. To be successful you will have experience of working in Careers with students from a wide range of backgrounds and will be able to evidence your commitment to engaging withl, and successfully supporting, students who face additional barriers in terms of graduate employment success. You will also be able to provide demonstrable evidence of successful marketing and communication skills, data collection and interpretation skills, and developing/delivering innovative Careers materials and activities to support transition and success.

If you are excited by the opportunity to make a real difference to students, then this may be the role for you.

About the Role

An important addition to a growing, proactive, and innovative Careers team. You will provide targeted support for students who may find accessing and succeeding in Higher Education presents additional barriers and who require greater levels of transitional support.

You will be both a direct point of contact to support students, and in developing services with colleagues. You will use successful motivational skills to work with students and engage them in Careers activity.

You will undertake robust evidence based research to drive improvements and change; and use excellent IT skills to collate and interpret data, producing statistical reports in a range of formats.

We want you to feel happy when you come to work and proud when you go home.

From the moment you join us you have the opportunity to enhance your skills. We offer a range of specialist development sessions or courses and an award winning staff health & wellbeing programme (HR Excellence Awards 2017). This means as well as opportunities to attend interactive sessions like ‘Presenting with impact’ or ‘Preparing for progression & success’, you are able to have a lunchtime stroll across our beautiful campus, book to get a trim from our onsite hairdresser, your car valeted, or get together with colleagues over free food and drink to watch the latest film on one of our Film Nights, and so much more.

This is just a taste of what we are able to offer you at Edge Hill University.
