SME Employer Liaison Administrator (80783-087)

University of Warwick - Academic Registrar's Office - Student Careers and Skills

Fixed term 0.6FTE position to April 2020.

(Appointments are normally made to the starting point of the salary range.)

The University of Warwick is proud to be rated the most targeted UK University by the Times Top 100 graduate employers in 2017. We are now embarking on an exciting project partly funded by the European Social Fund, aimed at easing links for local businesses to students for work experience, placements, internships, and apprenticeships, supporting students in launching satisfying careers which benefit employers and the local economy. This project will enhance partnerships between local universities, colleges and schools, and smaller employers in Coventry and Warwickshire (typically up to 250 employees).

In this key role you will provide financial and administrative support, and plan and promote events connecting SME recruiting employers with students seeking graduate, internship and work experience opportunities. You will be a key contact for SME employers, working with a team at Warwick and others in project partners as part of the ‘Collaborate to Train’ (C2T) project to maximise positive SME employer relationships and take-up of services, and recording information to measure the impact of this important work.

You should be qualified to at least 'A' level or equivalent, and have professional experience within a client facing, relationship driven role requiring initiative and prioritisation of tasks. Used to managing a high volume and variable administrative workload and working successfully to high quality under pressure, you will have good communication skills for interaction with students, University departments and external organisations both verbally and in writing.

You should be able to demonstrate the ability to interpret and present data in support of a business case, and a good understanding of marketing principles. The nature of this role also demands sensitivity and tact in dealing with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures, awareness of equal opportunities issues and handling of confidential information. Previous experience in an education environment, web content management skills, and knowledge of online media are also desirable.

This appointment is dependent upon part funding from the European Social Fund (ESF), for the project Collaborate 2 Train (C2T), project number 06S16P00362 and will be subject to the continuation of both the availability of funding and the project.

Interview date: 8 September 2017.
