The role and duties

A highly motivated professional with a genuine interest and experience in/with start-ups is sought for the role of Enterprise Assistant to join our award winning Employability and Careers Centre (E&CC) at an exciting time of change and of strategic employability and enterprise developments within the University.

The Enterprise Assistant will support the Enterprise Officer in marketing, planning and delivering enterprise activities. You will also work closely with the Enterprise Project Officer (Graduate Intern) and contribute to their training.

This post is a permanent role offered on a part time basis of 4 days per week, starting as soon as possible.

Qualifications and skills required

You will have a genuine interest in start-ups or have even started your own business. You will have experience of organising events and are willing to take on full responsibility for projects.

You will have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work on your own initiative in order to self-generate and contribute to new ideas for continuous improvement of the service.  A good level of IT literacy and the ability to use all major software packages including Microsoft Office are also essential.

In this role you will work with students that will be in any phase of their start-up journey (idea stage or already established) and support them with their needs and questions. Therefore you need a good understanding of business start-up.
