£30,688 - £38,833. Potential to progress to £42,418 though sustained exceptional contribution.

Are you interested in working at the heart of a world top 100 University? The role of Executive Assistant will provide a wide range of executive support for the Chief Operating Officer (COO), giving the post-holder unparalleled experience and variety at the centre of the University.

We are seeking someone to work closely with and provide critical support to the COO, assisting them in the full range of their role. To do this you will have the autonomy to co-ordinate your own workload, balance priorities, and will need to be able to work quickly to meet deadlines and manage conflicting priorities. The role requires strong team working skills with an excellent level of written and oral communication skills and high attention to detail. Highly proficient in a range of IT software and hardware (PCs and tablet-based) you will have excellent organisational and customer service skills.

The COO leads a number of our professional service departments, and so whilst you be based with our supportive HR team in the Grade 2 listed Arts Tower, you will work across all the varied teams that fall under the COO’s remit – affording great variety.

On a day to day basis you will:

  • Manage correspondence for the COO.
  • Actively handle the COO’s diary and travel arrangements.
  • Prepare documents and briefings for the COO on a variety of matters, undertaking research and information gathering to achieve this.
  • Contribute in a variety of ways to activities in the various departments that fall within the COO’s remit.
