Applications are invited for a Research Associate in Graphene Biomedicine post within the Nanomedicine Laboratory at the University of Manchester. The post will be tenable from 1 October 2017 until 31 March 2018.

You will undertake research on the characterization and biomedical application of graphene, graphene oxide and reduced graphene oxide sheets. You will be expected to contribute to the characterization and use of various graphene-based materials (graphene oxide, exfoliated graphene, other 2D material) in collaboration with other researchers within the Nanomedicine Lab, the University of Manchester, as well as other external laboratories. You should be able to interact effectively with researchers from a range of other disciplines to contribute to the programme of research.

You should at least have submitted a PhD in nanoscience, biotechnology, materials science or equivalent. You should also have demonstrable previous experience in graphene characterisation and in biomedical application of carbon or 2D nanomaterials. Evidence of a developing research publication track record would be advantageous.
