Our Customer Support team are expanding due to rapid growth. As a result, StarRez is looking for an experienced Implementation & Technical Support Consultant to join our UK team. Working closely with the US & AU support teams, you will initially work remotely until a UK Office has been established.

The Customer Support Team is responsible for installing, configuring, maintaining and supporting our software. This includes on premise infrastructure procured by our customers as well as our own Cloud platform. This StarCare team provides everything from general user help to our community, to low-level technical troubleshooting by diving directly into our databases.

Reporting to the Support Manager (Denver) this role will see you potentially leading the UK team. If you have had previous experience in a leadership role, thrive on being challenged and can manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you!

Key Accountabilities
Your primary responsibilities as an Implementation & Technical Support Consultant include:

  • Providing a superior level of technical support with a positive and confident approach in a help desk and general support environment
  • Working with existing customers to support our proprietary software applications, from basic functional user help queries, web application configuration, reporting requests, to handling technical issues (integration, database, IIS, windows & network issues, etc.)
  • Working with new customers to install and configure our software applications, building integration using in-house tools and partner with project delivery teams to deliver successful implementations
  • Operating as an escalation point for complex or escalated support issues
  • Providing technical direction and training to other Technical Support Consultants
  • Documenting new procedures
  • Sharing knowledge with colleagues and bring new ideas to the table

Required Attributes
As an Implementation & Technical Support Consultant you will have:

  • Ideally 5 years previous combined support and implementation experience
  • Must have sufficient technical knowledge to contribute and offer technology insight
  • Experience with university or college housing, residential life, or student accommodation/reservation systems
  • Experience mentoring and leading a support team
  • Knowledge of MS Office Suite of products
  • Experience using support ticketing system
  • Working knowledge of SQL
  • Experience working within a remote computing environment (VPNs, RDP, etc.)
